About this video
HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? β¬οΈ
I saw a video of @kate.winsletoffical holding her breath for more than 7 minutes. After doing some research I discovered she had breathed oxygen from a tank beforehand. This saturated her tissues with oxygen, allowing her to hold her breath for much longer than normal. π«
I decided to give it a go and managed to hold my breath for over 13 minutes on the first try. π€―
BE WARNED!! This type of breath holding has significant risks and is far more dangerous than normal breath holds. The extra oxygen means freedivers can hold their breath much longer, resulting in higher levels of carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is toxic to humans in high doses and can result in symptoms such as fatigue, headaches, confusion, dizziness, heart issues, coma and even death! β οΈ
Pure oxygen breath holds should NEVER by attempted without proper training, safety measures and a medical team on standby. π
NEVER DIVE ALONE! ππ»
