Hyderabad CEO’s Viral Post on Too Many Holidays Sparks Work Productivity Debate 📈

A LinkedIn post of a Hyderabad-based CEO calling for reassessment of India's holiday calendar has gone viral, sparking debate on productivity at work. In his post titled "Too Many Holidays, No Work Moving!", Ravikumar Tummalacharla, who is the founder & CEO of Cleanrooms Containments, called for a rethink on "holiday culture". "While we deeply respect the cultural and spiritual richness of India, the overload of public and optional holidays, combined with weekends, often brings work to a standstill. In just April 2025, we've had 10+ holidays, and most offices are seeing no file movement for weeks" Tummalacharla wrote. His post, however, received angry reactions from netizens.<br />
