Hukus Bukus the folklore a traditional chant is often attributed to the 14th centuary mystic poet Lalleshwari (Lal Ded). It is a lullaby for children that reflects the spiritual principals of kashmir shaivism with the lyrics encouraging introspection and a search for the divine within the core message who are you and who I am an invitation to explore the self and recognise the divine presence within all beings . In the recent years comtemporary artists have adopted the song higlighting its importance and introducing it to new audiances as seen in its use in the movies .

Recently Abha Hinjura the founder and vivacious lead singer song writer and composer of Sufi rock band sufistication strings with vintage instruments like the reflective rabab, melodious santoor gets us foot tapping and sets our spirit free on joy ride of innocence to rekindle memories of adolscence and nostalgia of childhood .
