In 2013, Varun Chakravarthy quit his job as an architect to try his luck in the film industry.

In 2014, he got a small role in the Tamil film *Jeeva*, but even after that, he didn’t find success.

So, he returned to his life as an architect.

He took up some freelance projects.

But then, a flood in Chennai ruined all his projects, leaving him completely devastated.

To cope with the situation, he started playing cricket again, which he had quit earlier due to his studies.

Initially, he was a medium pacer.

But in one match, he tried bowling spin, and in just 4 matches, he took 28 wickets.

After that, in 2017, he got a contract in TNPL, and eventually, he made his way into the IPL.
