In this video Heimler teaches you how to write a thesis statement for a Document Based Question (DBQ) and a Long Essay Question (LEQ). The good news is that for both essays, the thesis structure and requirements are the same.

Ultimately it comes down to making a defensible argument in a sentence or two, and if you can master the thesis, that's a huge step to open up the other points on the rubric as well.
