GPG is a way to verify any software you run has indeed been created by the correct developers (including various Bitcoin wallets, etc). This helps mitigate the risk of downloading a malicious program that may result in loss of funds. This video will walk you through how to install GnuPG, verify signatures, create keypairs, and sign/encrypt or decrypt messages and files. All examples shown on Mac.
