About this video

In this video we demonstrate how to secure your Yahoo mail account with a second factor authentication hardware security key (Yubikey). Yahoo has fully implemented U2F (Universal 2nd factor authentication. Hackers are constantly attacking email accounts. When paired with a security key (like Yubikey), your attack surface and threat profile are significantly reduced. Multifactor authentication using a security key is your best protection against being hacked.

Other email systems to consider are listed here. Tutanota is an encrypted secure email system that uses U2F. Proton mail is another secure email system, but presently does not support U2F security key. It only support TOTP (time based one time passcodes). Gmail does encrypt your mail for transmission, but all of your information is visible to Google. They have fully implemented U2F.
