Proper Hardwood Floor Cleaning Tips 🪵

👏🏻LTV, Laminate, Vinyl, and natural wood floors are prone to damage and scratching. These floors may require a little extra care when cleaning. So try these tips!✨

1️⃣ Use a microfiber mop (my fav is in my Amazon Storefront) to mop floors. If you do not have one of those, try using a microfiber cloth on the end of a Swiffer to mop your floors safely and effectively! 🪣 (I keep a few rags in the bucket to swap them out during cleaning)🧼
⭐️Ensuring you are NOT over saturating. 💦 Wood floors DO NOT do well with a lot of water, so keeping water to a minimum and really squeezing out excess will help your floor last longer!
⭐️ Keep the water to a warm, NOT hot, temp. Hot or boiling temps can sometimes strip the coating or sealing off of wood, damaging them (and your warranty). 🥴
2️⃣ ️Always Mop WITH The grain for best results! 👏🏻 This allows the product to work itself into the grooves and not cause foggy build up on top! ✨
3️⃣Add Felt Furniture Pads to the bottom of ALL furniture. 🛋️ I do this on every piece of furniture we own, except those in the carpeted bedroom 🛏️. This protects WHATEVER kind of floor you have and also protects the wearing down of the furniture legs! (fav set linked in Amazon shop)🪑
