STEP BY STEP GUIDE
How to find large emails and attachments in Gmail

STEP 1
To search for an email we can use Gmail’s search filter feature.
To access this, I’ll move my mouse to the Gmail search bar and I’ll click on the search options icon to open the detailed filter panel.

STEP 2
The search filter contains a number of options that can be used to narrow down your search results but the one we’re interested in to find a large email is the size row.

STEP 3
Gmail will only allow emails up to a maximum of 25 MB in size.
To find the largest emails in your inbox, I’d recommend you search for emails that are ‘Greater than’ 20 ‘MB’ in size.
This will show only the largest emails in your inbox between 20MB and 25MB

STEP 4
To run that search, let’s click on the large blue Search button.

STEP 5
If you want to save space in your Gmail account you can quickly select all of the emails or even specific ones
and click on the delete icon in the top toolbar to remove them from the inbox.
Gmail confirms that those emails have been deleted.
