You might have a few goals and professional resolutions to achieve in the New Year. But how do you make sure you don't drop those aspirations by February? Alex has some tips and tricks to get you focused for the year ahead - and ensure your dreams become reality.

Tips & Tricks to Help You on Your 2025 Journey:

Build a system versus just setting goals. This will help you achieve your goals by creating a more sustainable system that fits with your lifestyle. For example, if you want to improve your coding skills, make a habit to set aside some time each day to work on it. Keep your habits low impact and realistic. As a plus, this will save you a LOT of stress.
Procrastination is your biggest pitfall. We all fall into this trap but try your best to avoid it. Use lists, timeblocking, and have alternate projects you can lean on when you need to deviate from your scheduled tasks. You can also hit up the two-minute trick: If something just takes you only a few minutes to do, then do it.
Start early! There is no better time than the present to start something new. If you don't feel up to something, tomorrow will likely be no different for you. Therefore, avoid putting things off as much as you can.
Skip one day, but never more than that. Give yourself some grace, and if you need to let a day slide, that's okay. However, if you find yourself adding another day to your grace period, it's probable that you will only continue to add more days. This trick will help you save yourself from the "habit graveyard" (as Alex puts it).
