2.6 million people died due to air pollution that year. The city’s pollution index reached the highest level, as pollution obscured the sky over Beijing.
But decades later, in a dramatic shift of events, Beijing improved its air quality significantly. If Beijing could do it, could New Delhi control the air pollution?
