About this video
The Housing Counseling Library is a new tool on the HUD Exchange that can help you find the resources and trainings you need by using filters and a search functionality. The Library strives to improve your experience finding housing counseling resources, regardless of whether you know the specific page you are looking for or if you’d prefer to browse through the wide variety of resources available. Below highlights key elements of the new tool as well as the direction for growth in the future.
User Feedback
HUD Exchange users, including housing counselors, stakeholders, and other interested organizations, participated in usability testing activities and we heard you! The feedback provided informed the creation of the Resource Topics and Audience filters as well as the language used across the Library to ensure it resonates with users to help them navigate to the resources they need.
User-Friendly Navigation
All housing counseling resources on the HUD Exchange, including webpages, handouts, trainings, and FAQs, are now located in one central location and can be found using topic, audience, and content type filters as well as the search functionality. Users can use the filters to browse and find new topics or the search functionality to locate a specific resource by name.
Future Growth
The Housing Counseling Library will be ever evolving to ensure it meets the needs of HUD Exchange users by implementing performance improvements, staying up to date with industry standards, and adding newly created resources. With that said, the Housing Counseling Library has been built to support the growing production of new resources, trainings, and tools. Be sure to check the Library regularly to find any new housing counseling webpages, toolkits, trainings, and more that may be helpful to you and your organization.
