About this video
The 2025 Honda Civic small hatchback has arrived in Australia, where the new, facelifted version of the 11th-generation model is doubling down on its introduction of a 'self-charging' hybrid powertrain by making it standard range-wide. Yep, there's no petrol engine option anymore. As such, the Civic now finds itself solely competing with the popular Toyota Corolla Hybrid, among others.
So, what else has changed with the Civic with this facelift? Well, trainspotters will notice the tweaked front bumper and redesigned alloy wheels. But the meaningful changes are inside, where the multimedia system has been upgraded with Google services built-in, including Maps.
In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Andrew Chesterton spends two weeks living with the new Civic hybrid's entry-level e:HEV L variant to find if it and its 135kW/315Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder powertrain deliver in the real world.
