Dominik Szoboszlai had put the Reds in front with a stunning, swerving free-kick which left Donnarumma helpless in the City goal. 10 minutes later, Bernardo Silva prodded in the equaliser and then Haaland scored from the penalty spot in the 93rd minute. City thought they had added a third deep into added time only for the goal to be disallowed and instead Szoboszlai sent off for denying a clear goal scoring opportunity.
