Things I forgot to mention:
Hatches can survive up to 70C making them far more heat resistant than plant food sources.

Omelettes 2.2 hatches support 1 dupe
BBQ 1.5 hatches support 1 dupe

A quick...ish tutorial on ranching hatches and the numbers involved. Food requirements, how many dupes you can feed, coal generators you can support, how many hatches a rancher can groom etc. There is a surprising amount of little mechanics involved in getting them to work efficiently. I'd forgotten how much I'd struggled when I first started trying to figure out how to use them.
