Calhanoglu Snubs Hernandez Before Milan Derby 🤝

A few moments between Hakan Calhanoglu and Theo Hernandez could have heated up the Milan Derby last night. Calhanoglu refused to shake Hernandez's hands.

The moment occurred before the kickoff of the AC Milan vs Inter Milan match at the San Siro, Sunday (4/9) WIB. Theo Hernandez stood at the very end of the line of Rossoneri players who greeted the opposing team.

Amateur video footage spread on social media shows that Calhanoglu, who is defending Inter, shakes hands with each of the home players. However, until it was Theo Hernandez's turn, the Turkish midfielder ignored his former team-mate's helping hand.

Theo Hernandez was then seen patting Calhanoglu on the head, which he reciprocated with a tug on his shirt. The two players had a brief conversation before doing a warm-up session with each team.

So far it is not known why Hakan Calhanoglu refused to shake hands with Theo Hernandez. However, fans believe it was caused by Hernandez's ridicule after Milan won the 2021/2022 Scudetto.

The French defender is believed to have started the chant that mocked Calhanoglu during the AC Milan champions parade. As is known Calhanoglu left Milan by crossing to Inter Milan in pursuit of the title. However, after Calhanoglu left Milan actually triumphed.

In the process, Theo Hernandez was the one who got the last laugh because Milan managed to beat Inter Milan with a score of 3-2. Il Diavolo Rosso bounced back after conceding Marcelo Brozovic's goal in the 21st minute, then responded with three goals from Rafael Leao (2) and Olivier Giroud.
