Gymnopédie No. 1 by Erik Satie - Easy Piano Tutorial

Hi guys! Here is my piano tutorial for the song “Gymnopédie” by Erik Satie. This is such a peaceful song and it’s one of my favorites. I can’t wait for you guys to learn it! #piano #gymnopedie #eriksatie #pianotutorial #classicalmusic #easypiano

You will need to use the piano pedal for this song. As a general rule, you push down on the pedal and lift off and push back down whenever you are changing phrases in the left hand. I encourage y’all to play around with the pedal and practice this but you lift off and push back down as you are changing chords (two or more keys played at the same time is a chord) so that the sounds don’t all bleed together. Another important thing to keep in mind when learning this song is that there is a LOT of left hand movement. I recommend taking things section by section and really practicing each part before moving onto the next. If you have any questions, I can help in the comments. Happy playing!
