Punjab Kings got off to a good start provided by Priyansh Arya who scored 47 runs off 23 deliveries. He was later joined by Shreyas Iyer, who smashed an unbeaten 97 off 42 balls. Shashank Singh also starred with a quickfire 44 as Punjab Kings scored a massive 243/5. In response, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan started on an impressive note. After Shubman Gill's dismissal, Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler stitched a steady partnership. Gujarat Titans seemed to be gaining momentum with Sherfane Rutherford taking the attack to Marcus Stoinis but impact player Vyshak Vijay Kumar made a difference and he alongside Marco Jansen and Arshdeep Singh ensured that Punjab Kings went past the finish line.
