GST Implementation: What It Means for the Hotel Industry 🏨

The Goods and Services Tax is all set for the June 30, 2017 roll out. The Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has confirmed that GST will be rolled out as per the plans. Around 12 per cent GST rate is applicable on low-budget and non-AC restaurants, while most of the establishments will fall under 18 per cent tax slab. The 18 per cent GST rate will replace existing service tax and the VAT.
