SOCIETY Secure Messenger Overview

SOCIETY is a cloudless, hybrid peer to peer secure messaging app that allows you to have complete confidence your messaging is safe from prying eyes. It has revolutionary features not found on any other messaging app that help encrypt your data, not just end to end, but also while it's sitting on your phone. We use pair-wise cryptography rather than the less secure group cryptography other apps use, which means there is a unique set of cryptographic keys needed for every user to access content you send to them. This means that unless a specific person has the correct cryptographic keys and has been explicitly allowed to ready your content, they will not be able to decrypt your messages. Other messaging apps use group encryption keys, which means anyone who has been adding to a messaging group can decrypt any message in that group, potentially opening up these keys to being shared with people you didn't intend to send content to. SOCIETY is also unique in that it is a hybrid peer to peer messenger, keeping your messages off the Cloud. SOCIETY has clever assistance to navigate complex networks and firewalls, but at it's core SOCIETY allows users to communicate with extremely strong encryption from device to device, making the "surface area" of the network as small as possible. This has two massive and distinct benefits to you as the user - the first is that it's not dependent on Cloud infrastructure, meaning it cannot be shut down if the Cloud goes down. The second is the reduction in network "surface area", and the number of parties handling your data, eliminates the potential for your data to be intercepted at some point during it's travel and decrypted.
