We start the day with one of Thessaloniki’s most iconic breakfasts — hot, freshly made bougatsa. Here we try both versions: the savory cheese bougatsa and the sweet vanilla custard, flaky on the outside and creamy inside, exactly how it should be enjoyed in this city.

Next, we head to a traditional open-air market where locals do their weekly shopping. Fresh vegetables, fruits, olives, herbs, and endless local energy fill the streets. This is the real Thessaloniki vibe — noisy, colorful, and full of life.
*ΤΟ ΚΟΚΟΡΑΚΙ*
For lunch, we visit a legendary local spot famous for roast and grilled chicken. Juicy meat, crispy skin, and simple seasoning make this place a favorite among locals. Alongside the chicken, we enjoy other grilled meats and true everyday Greek comfort food.

Later, it’s time for a proper sit-down food marathon at this classic taverna–ouzeri. The table fills quickly with appetizers: "gigantes" beans, feta, roasted bell peppers, and many more traditional meze dishes, plus grilled meats. Perfect food for sharing, relaxed eating, and enjoying the moment.
*Toumpano Grill House*
We finish the day the Thessaloniki way — with gyros pita. The meat is spinning, the smell of grilling fills the air, and the atmosphere is pure local street food. A perfect ending to a day full of local flavors and unforgettable food experiences.
