Google spent $8.27 million on personal security for CEO Sundar Pichai in 2024,  according to CNBC. The figure is up nearly 22% from 2023, according to Alphabet’s 2025 proxy filing with the SEC. The costs covered residential security, monitoring services, car and driver services, and travel protection, which Alphabet said were necessary to mitigate business risks. Pichai’s total 2024 compensation rose to $10.73 million from $8.8 million the year before. Pichai’s extensive travel to meet world leaders about technological advancements coincided with Google’s growth and rising challenges from AI competition and regulatory pressures.
