George Clooney Lands His First Project With Netflix He will star in and direct an adaptation of Lily Brooks-Dalton's novel, 'Good Morning, Midnight.' The sci-fi thriller centers on a scientist in the Arctic who attempts to make contact with a spacecraft's crew. The Oscar-winning Clooney will portray the scientist in 'Midnight,' which was published in 2017. Having known and worked with George for over two decades, I can't think of anyone better to bring this amazing story to life. Clooney's adaptation of 'Good Morning, Midnight,' is scheduled to start filming in October. Besides Netflix, Clooney also recently partnered up with fellow streamer Hulu for the adaptation of 'Catch-22.'
