G20 SA to Transfer G20 Presidency to US 🇺🇸

International Relations Minister Ronald Lamola has clarified how South Africa will hand over the G20 Leaders' Declaration to the United States.

Lamola says government cannot break protocol by giving the document to a deputy ambassador.

Instead, South Africa's ambassador will formally hand it to their US counterpart at DIRCO's Pretoria offices.

He stressed that, as the country's chief diplomat, he will follow G20 protocols and expects Washington to respect the same rules observed by all G20 member states.
