Charge Mahindra XEV-9E in xx hours with DC Fast Charging ⚡

We took our friend’s new Mahindra XEV 9E electric car (Born Electric series) for a full charge via Mahindra dealership’s 23 KW DC charger. Could be done sooner with a more powerful DC charger.

From 15% to 100% it took more than 3 hours of our time, super thanks to Provincial Mahindra dealership’s service team in Nagpur for their cooperation.

The Mahindra XEV 9e is designed to support both AC and DC fast charging, offering flexibility for users in India.

⚡ DC Fast Charging
• Charging Time: Using a 175 kW DC fast charger, the 79 kWh battery can charge from 20% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes. 
• Charging Port: The XEV 9e is equipped with a CCS2 (Combined Charging System 2) port, which is compatible with most DC fast chargers in India.

🔌 AC Charging
• Onboard Charger: The vehicle comes with an 11 kW onboard charger. 
• Charging Time:
• With an 11 kW AC charger, the 79 kWh battery takes about 6–8 hours to charge fully.
• With a 7 kW AC charger, the charging time extends to approximately 9–12 hours. 

🏠 Home Charging
• Installation: Mahindra offers home charging solutions, including the 7 kW and 11 kW chargers. Installation is optional and can be arranged through Mahindra’s official channels.

🌐 Public Charging Infrastructure:
While the CCS2 port is widely supported across India’s public charging stations, the availability and reliability of these stations can vary by location. It’s advisable to plan charging stops in advance, especially in semi-urban or rural areas.
