The foreign ministers of five nations with Arctic coastlines have met in Canada to discuss their claims to the area, which analysts say is rich in oil and gas deposits.<br /><br />And the countries bordering the region, including Russia, the US, Canada, Denmark and Norway, are all laying claim to a slice of what could prove to be a very lucrative pie.<br /><br />But the meeting has also drawn criticism from one of the participant, Hillary Clinton, the US secretary of state.<br /><br />In a rare public US rebuke of Canada, she said the hosts did not invite three key nations and indigenous people with valid interests in the polar region.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Steve Chao reports from Canada's Resolute Bay.
