UA LA-2A vs. LA-610: Know the Difference Before You Buy! ⚠️

LA-610 purports itself as a preamp with a LA2A in it. A little warning short for buyers looking to save bread and buy an LA-610 thinking they'll get a nice preamp AND an LA2A. The compressor side is nothing like an LA2A and couldn't be further from the real thing. Look at the back of an LA2A and you'll see what's missing from the LA610's topology. Inspect a schematic to discover more! They may share the T4 optical cell and both be "opto compressors" but their similarities end there. The solo 610 is a decent preamp and the LA2A is a great comp, let's just leave it at that ;)
