Former Teacher Bawls as Judge Recommends Jail Time for Relationship With Fifth Grader

A former Wisconsin elementary school teacher who pleaded guilty to three criminal counts involving an inappropriate relationship with her fifth-grade student was back in court last week. Madison Bergamann was in tears as the judge recommended she serve jail time for her crimes. He claimed he was not sure the level of supervision that would stop her from doing this again and that incarceration is necessary to protect the public.
