Left for dead after a vicious attack, Homicide Detective Anna Walker awakes in the hospital to find she has full-blown amnesia and no recollection of her previous life. As she struggles to put the pieces of her past together, it is quickly discovered that she was a callous and competitive cop; the kind of woman who put her job above her husband and teenage daughter without hesitation and the kind of woman who was having a torrid affair with her partner. These harsh revelations lead Anna on a journey to put her life back together, make amends, and become the woman she wants to be, not who she once was. As she slowly recovers her detective skills, more details from her past trickle in, and Anna discovers that her road to recovery has not only put her life in danger, but has also threatened the safety of her family. Not knowing whom to trust, she must find out who is pursuing her, before they hurt her family and eliminate her once and for all.

À la suite d’une agression sauvage la laissant pour morte, la détective Anna Walker, du service des Homicides, se réveille à l’hôpital, souffrant d’amnésie totale. Les efforts qu’elle déploie pour reconstituer son passé lui dévoilent une policière insensible, à l’esprit de compétition très développé. Elle réalise également qu’elle faisait passer son travail avant son mari et sa fille, et qu’en plus, elle entretenait une relation passionnée avec son coéquipier. Ces révélations troublantes l’entraînent dans une démarche qui l’amènera à reconstituer son passé, reconnaître ses torts et devenir la femme qu’elle veut être, et non celle d’avant l’agression. Au fur et à mesure qu’elle retrouve ses habiletés professionnelles, des bribes de son passé refont surface. Elle constate qu’en plus de mettre sa vie en danger, elle a aussi menacé la sécurité de sa famille. Ne sachant plus à qui se fier, Anna doit retracer l’agresseur avant que cette personne ne s’en prenne à ses proches et l’élimine à tout jamais.
