Several viewers have asked if I have plans to launch music on Spotify. I don't, mainly for legal reasons, but here's how to put a local file on your Spotify playlist (for mobile, but you can do this on anything):
1. Download the track onto your device
2. Tap your profile pic
3. Go to Settings and Privacy / Apps and Devices
4. Under "Other Devices," enable "Local audio files" to give Spotify access to your hard drive. Allow any additional privileges the app needs. (Yes, there are privacy concerns to this, but they're small.)
5. Go to your Library and open Local Files.
6. Find the track you want and tap the three dots on the right side
7. Add the track to the playlist(s) of your choice!
