First Nations leaders from across Australia gather to discuss ways to close the gap on indigenous disadvantage

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders from across the country have gathered in Darwin, to discuss key priorities aimed at closing the gap on Indigenous disadvantage. This comes after the death in police custody of Warlpiri man Kumanjayi White in Alice Springs which ignited protests around the country. While the coalition of leaders was hopeful of achieving progress members braced for hard conversations about the best way forward.
