Now we are reimagining "First Love" originally by Utada Hikaru.
Hikaru Utada (宇多田ヒカル, Utada Hikaru; born January 19, 1983), also known mononymously as Utada, is a Japanese and American singer, songwriter, and producer. She is considered to be one of the most influential and best-selling musical artists in Japan. "First Love" (1999) is the third Japanese-language single from her second studio album, First Love. The original song was written in hybrid Japanese+English. There are 2 official english cover for this song. From a Filipino singer, Jessa Zaragoza (2000), and Boyz 2 Men (2010). I personally prefer Jessa's version. It's not a literal translation, but it keeps the story and context even without using the English part of Utada's original. Compared to Boyz 2 Men version, it has a more compact syllable count, more akin to the Japanese version. So the song doesn't feel overstretched. It also has some nice rhyme:

..never let you go
.. don't say no
However, the Boyz 2 Men version, being a Grammy winner, is so much better musically.
So my cover here basically uses Jessa's lyric version with Boyz 2 Men musical style.
