”The “Blót” is a Viking sacrificial festival. Many years ago, I was at a Viking market in Norway. The market opened with a blót and a big fire. A trader was selling beautiful handmade wooden chests. When I saw this trader put the most beautiful of his chests into the big fire, I was surprised and impressed. That was the first time I understood the deep and beautiful meaning of a blót.“
