About this video

#shorts
The American red fox lives in the northeast of north america and is one of the 9 red fox subspecies in north america.Despite their relatively small size, red foxes are impressive leapers. They can vertically jump up to 2 meters (6.5 feet), allowing them to snatch birds out of the air or clear obstacles with ease. While primarily meat-eaters, American red foxes demonstrate remarkable dietary flexibility. They readily adapt to their surroundings, eating small mammals, birds, insects, fruits, and even carrion when needed. These foxes have great hearing. They can swivel their ears 180 degrees independently, pinpointing even the faintest sound of prey underground. They can even hear low-frequency sounds humans can't! They typically live in family groups consisting of a breeding pair and their offspring. They exhibit cooperative behavior in raising their kits, with both parents participating in providing food, care, and teaching them essential survival skills. They typically mate from December to March, with litters of 4-17 kits (average 5).
