Man City 5-2 Crystal Palace: De Bruyne Leads Stunning Comeback ⚽

On what proved an action-packed afternoon at the Etihad, Pep Guardiola’s side staged a stirring fightback from 2-0 down to claim a crucial three points.

Eberechi Eze and Chris Richards had both struck within the first 21 minutes to power Palace into a shock 2-0 advantage.

But inspired by a vintage display from the inspirational Kevin De Bruyne, City summoned up a wonderful recovery.

De Bruyne it was whose 33rd minute free-kick narrowed the deficit before Omar Marmoush then struck to level affairs before the break.

De Bruyne then provided the assist that set up Mateo Kovacic’s strike 60 seconds after the restart to fire City 3-2 ahead.

And a memorable afternoon was then rounded off when youngsters James McAtee and Nico O’Reilly got on the scoresheet late on to seal the deal and move City back up into fourth place in the table.
