The Great Lakes International Ice Carving Competition is going on this weekend at Erie County Fairgrounds.
The three day event officially kicked off Friday evening with 22 competitors from as far away as Japan and France all in town to create jaw dropping sculptures out of ice.
They will get 30 hours to chisel and saw unique designs using 26 tons of ice blocks with an awards ceremony Sunday at 8 p.m.
