Everest Climb: Surviving the Summit 🚩

This is the full journey from Everest Basecamp to the summit and back—facing the harshest conditions imaginable.

The night before summit push, I was in the death zone, waiting for the right time to climb. At 8000m, I started using supplementary oxygen. My regulator iced over twice. Purba, my Sherpa, lost a glove at 8300m—luckily, I had a spare. By 8400m, I was snow-blind in my left eye, making every step harder to judge. Safety ropes were iced over, and fallen climbers were still attached to them.

At the summit, 70km/h winds ripped across Everest, bringing temperatures down to -70°C or lower. On the descent, I ran out of supplemental oxygen at 8300m. Exhausted and drained, I had to spend another night in the death zone.

Yet, I told my mum I'd be back. That was a promise I had to keep. Everest was just the beginning—there’s so much more to explore.
