BeamNG.drive is an open world driving simulator video game developed by BeamNG GmbH. The game implements soft-body physics, which allows you to simulate damage to cars in road accidents or even mechanical damage in a particularly realistic way. The first version of the simulator was released on August 3, 2013 and was then made available in Early Access on Steam on May 29, 2015 with improved physics and graphics.

The simulator was developed mainly in Bremen, Germany, but people from different parts of the world also collaborated remotely. It was used in the film industry to test stunts to be performed with cars during filming in advance and at lower costs.
