Elsewedy Electric Secures $50.7M Fast Track Project with General Electric ⚡

With years of solid rock foundations of engineering knowledge and execution capabilities, Elsewedy Electric T&D wins a $ 50.7 million project with the globally known American manufacturing & contracting company “GENERAL ELECTRIC”.

This comes as a part of the “Egyptian Emergency Plan” to compensate the power shortage during Summer peak times in order to reduce power cuts to consumers.

T&D is to install, commission and hand over of twenty TM2500+ generating units designed & supplied by “GE“. Each unit can deliver a power output of approximately 30 MVA with a total of 600 MVA to be pumped into the electricity unified network.

TM2500+ units excel with their Aero designed engine, durability, long life span and small foot prints. These units are capable after minor adjustments of running with either liquid fuel or natural gas.

A new milestone is to be added to the success record of Elsewedy Electric T&D, as the first company to install aero engine generator sets in Egypt. With our quality system, skilled staff and commitment towards our clients, these all come to assure minimum execution time with the highest quality and
