Electronic performing Getting Away With It on BBC's Top of the Pops on 14th December 1989.

The debut single was released in the UK on 4 December 1989 and then the following year in March 1990 in the United States. The track is a writing collaboration between Electronic's Bernard Sumner and Johnny Marr and both Pet Shop Boys (although only Neil Tennant is being credited on the release), with Tennant providing the backing vocals and Sumner the main vocals.
