Election Commission Serves Notices to BJP and Congress Over Complaints Against PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi

On April 25, the Election Commission (EC) issued notices to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress. The notices have been issued after taking cognizance of alleged Model Code of Conduct violations by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. BJP and Congress had raised allegations of causing hatred and division based on religion, caste, community, or language. ECI has sought a response by 11 AM on April 29.
