Elderly Woman Dies on Lizard Island After Being Left Behind by Cruise Ship 🚢

An elderly woman in her 80s was found dead on Lizard Island at the Great Barrier Reef after being left behind by the luxury cruise ship Coral Adventurer during a challenging hiking excursion. The woman was hiking the four-kilometre Cook's Look track when she told her group she needed to turn back, but the ship departed without realising she was missing until Saturday night. Her body was discovered just metres from the hiking trail on Sunday morning after an extensive search involving rescue helicopters and crew members.
