“When Shanoo Sharma, the casting director, set up my meeting with Karan Johar, I was so nervous… He auditioned me and made me perform on ‘Channa Mereya’. A few months later, I bagged a Dharma film—a dream come true! But it was too good to be true…and so, when that film got shelved, and another one did too, I was heartbroken… I thought, ‘What will I do?’ But little did I know, what was coming my way…”
Making waves with his movie Kill at the moment, this Delhi boy Lakshya chanced upon acting suddenly—when an MTV Roadies audition came his way! And while the introvert actor was chosen for Roadies, destiny had other plans—an MTV fiction show ‘Warrior High’ landed in his lap.
That’s how Lakshya’s acting journey began, back in 2014—from that MTV show to several other TV shows, he became a household name. But the dream was to act in films… And that dream came true, after a long struggle over 10 years.
So tune in for a conversation that’s as candid as candid gets. Lakshya shares it all—from how acting happened for him, to signing a Dharma film, and from a 10-year-long struggle to work in films to his latest release, Kill.
Karan Johar said that with Lakshya, a star is born… And when you watch this episode, you’ll realize why… This one’s a must-watch… Do not miss it!

About Humans of Bombay –
Humans of Bombay is a movement that started 9 years ago. We believe that every person has a story to tell and we want to help them tell these stories. In these years we’ve published stories across genres – stories of love, hope, faith, and courage. And through our storytelling, we’ve built an engaged community of over 5M!
Our idea is simple – to strike a chord with our community and catalog the beat of humanity, one story at a time.
