This Diwali, Thamma and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat clashed at the box office, both performing well. Thamma benefited from the MHCU association, while Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat gained from the re-release of Sanam Teri Kasam. Despite strong competition from Thamma and Kantara: Chapter 1, the film earned 18 crore net in just two days, with a gross of 22.4 crore. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh notes a slight dip on day two as holidays ended, but expectations remain high for the weekend.
