Effortless JPEG Compression of GeoTIFFs Using GDAL 🗺️

This video presents the step by step to transform a simple geotiff into one of the best format for image compression. That is, GeoTIFF, with JPEG compression, internally tiled, in the YCBCR color space.
In the end of this video, it is shown how to execute the batch process for compression of several images.

It is important to know that:
1 - Internal tiling allows renderers to quickly pick out and decompress just a small portion of the image, which is important once you’ve applied a more serious compression algorithm like JPEG.
2 - The JPEG algorithm is more effective when it is performed in images that are stored in the YCBCR color space.
