About this video
Hi.
I seem to be doing some music now. Funny how I bounce between interests and talents (if you can call them "talents"). This is a remix of a Commodore 64 tune done by Lars Hutzelmann(The Blue Ninja). I pretty much just used two VSTis being the V2 Synth by Tammo "kb" Hinrichs of .farb-rausch, and the Crystal Synth 2.4 by Glenn Olander, and arranged the whole thing in Open ModPlug Tracker. Probably not the best tool for VSTis, but that's what I had at the moment.
This rendering was done in Maya. I took the project, converted it to MIDI, then used MIDI2TXT to get the notes in plain text, then scripted random stuff in Maya's MEL script to get this video. Why turn the MIDI to text? Because I don't know enough programming to read that strange binary code, and wasn't sure if Maya could handle it.
Except for the keyboard, that is in fact Synthesia contorted onto a sheet of "plastic".
Anyways, enjoy this remix. If you want to get your hands on the MP3, you can browse this place: http://remix.kwed.org
