DVK’s Jam Room: Albela Sajan, Unholy & Aigiri Nandini Live 🎶

DVK’s Jam Room is a space where Indian music and beatboxing come together to explore new sonic possibilities.

I’ve drawn inspiration from Indian classical and folk music, and that’s deeply shaped how I understand rhythm. I’ve always seen beatboxing as more than just sound imitation — it’s a powerful tool to express culture, emotion, and identity.This project is an attempt to take that idea forward — by blending traditional Indian sounds with modern forms like hip-hop and live vocal percussion.

In this first session, we’ve explored three powerful pieces from very different worlds:

🎵 Albela Sajan– a traditional Hindustani bandish rooted in Raag Bhoop
🔥 Unholy– a global pop/EDM hit by Sam Smith & Kim Petras
🕉 Aigiri Nandini– a devotional Sanskrit stotra honoring the Goddess Durga

Each piece has been reinterpreted through a mix of live jamming, classical instrumentation, and beatboxing, with an aim to show how Indian music can evolve without losing its roots.

DVK’s Jam Room is not about just fusing genres — it’s about creating a space where diverse musical languages can speak to each other naturally.
