Drug and substance abuse on the rise - Police

The Police Anti-Narcotics Department says the rate of drug and substance abuse, especially among many young people in Kampala during the lockdown has risen by 14%.

Acting Commissioner Tinka Zarugaba says people are stressed and depressed about an uncertain future and the dependance on substances has increased.

Also that 68% of the bodaboda motorcycle accidents in Kampala are drug-related.
