Dr. Chris Nelson most recent appointment serves as a Distinguished Visiting Professor for the Department of Economics and Geosciences, at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He holds a Doctor of Science in Information Systems & Communications (D. Sc.) from Robert Morris University, in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Dr. Nelson's current research focuses on the expression of political unrest and violence in social media forums and new "big data" sets for human geography.
