Just in time for his support slot on Yellow Claw’s Los Amsterdam tour this coming fall, Dutch DJ and producer DOLF is excited to release his first EP for Barong Family. It’s the follow-up to his debut single ‘Fuck it All Up’ from late last year, which has over 4 million streams on Spotify—and was much more pop-oriented than the tracks on the Nighttime EP.

Actually, there is a proper song on DOLF’s new Nighttime EP and it’s called ‘If I Die’. A collaboration with South Korea’s DJ Soda, it’s the single of the EP and with good reason, as its thrilling ’80s synths and a sweeping pop melody send you and your loved one straight into the night where tomorrow is a long time away. To get a sense of DOLF’s serious club appeal, look no further than ‘Cowbell’ and ‘Good Love’, two uptempo dance tracks going in diverging directions. ‘Cowbell’ started out as a demo from American producer Juyen Sebulba laying out the heavy drums and, yes, more cowbell. Tweaked by DOLF, it’s the perfect first track of the EP. ‘Good Love’ will do well at any 22nd century disco party, by which time folks may finally be ready for Moksi’s furious breakdown coming in halfway through the track. Final track ‘Slippin’’ is DOLF’s victory lap, starting out downtempo before a mangled vocal announces how he came up from the bottom and is now reaching out at the top. If you’re looking for a trap banger, this is it. DOLF, for one, is more than ready to take these tracks out on the road.
